Taking center stage on a beautiful spring day, Talis Park shined the spotlight on Edward Villella, founding artistic director of Miami City Ballet, the resident dance company for the Philharmonic Center for the Arts, at an intimate luncheon in front of the community’s obelisk – a fitting juxtaposition for a pillar in the Naples arts community. On April 2, the private soiree, with more than 65 guests in attendance, paid tribute to Villella’s legacy as the greatest male dancer of all time and co-founder of one of the world’s most acclaimed ballet companies, Miami City Ballet.
