What Is a Har Tru Tennis Court?
Har Tru is a type of clay court that’s been around since the 1930s. It’s a unique type of court made from metabasalt found in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. This metabasalt is naturally green, angular (which allows it to lock together to form a stable playing surface) and hard (making it incredibly durable).
You’ll notice the difference playing tennis on a Har Tru court because it stays 10-15 degrees cooler than a hard court. It dries quickly after rain; it doesn’t crack and it’s much easier on your body than a hard court.

What Is Bocce Ball?
Bocce is a game as old as time! It was first documented in a 5200 B.C. Egyptian painting. The gist of the game is simple: players try and roll their balls the closest to the “Pallino,” a small ball thrown at the beginning of the game. It’s a fun game great for players of all abilities and ages with anywhere from two to eight players on a team. It’s a great way to stay busy while chatting with friends and enjoying an afternoon in the warm, Florida sunshine!
